Chetco River Bar Closure – July 4
The Port of Brookings Harbor advises all mariners and the public that the Chetco River Bar will be temporarily CLOSED on:

📅 July 4
🕘 9:45 PM – approximately 10:45 PM

This closure is necessary to ensure safety during the Independence Day fireworks display at the Port of Brookings Harbor.
During this time:

• The U.S. Coast Guard will enforce safety zones and monitor fireworks fallout areas
• All vessel traffic will be prohibited from transiting the bar

The bar will reopen immediately following the event, once the pyrotechnics team has issued an official “all clear.”
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our waterways safe.
