POST SEIZURE NOTICE FOR SEIZURE OF VESSEL: Reg No. OR115ADN, Name: Sharmar
A 1968 Uniflite vessel, Hull ID Number:  BNV3730KE, Length 36’, with registration number OR115ADN and its appurtenances, tackle, apparel, furniture, and any property have been seized by the Port of Brookings Harbor at 4:00pm PST September 3, 2024, being an abandoned/derelict vessel. Pursuant to ORS 830.908, an “Abandoned vessel” means a vessel that has been left without authorization on public or private land, the waters of this state, or any other water.
At the time of seizure, under authority of ORS 830.911, the vessel contained the following property: see attached photos. 
The Port of Brookings Harbor served proposed seizure notice to you, the owner, on August 21, 2024. The deadline to prevent the seizure by either remedying the problem or requesting a hearing was 4:00pm September 10, 2024.
The Oregon State Marine Board records indicate you are the owner of this vessel. As the owner, you are liable for all costs arising from salvage, towing, and storage. You may immediately reclaim your vessel by presenting proof of ownership and paying the salvage, towing, and storage costs that have accrued so far, which are currently estimated to be $3,792.22 
You may immediately reclaim the boat by presenting proof of identification and payment of costs that have accrued. Furthermore, you must provide proof that you can move the boat to a place where the boat can be lawfully kept. 
To prevent the sale or disposal of the seized vessel and property, you must reclaim the vessel and pay all accrued costs prior to: October 10, 2024, at 4:00pm PST.
If you fail to reclaim the vessel prior to the date specified in this notice, the title to the vessel and all property within the vessel will vest with the Port of Brookings Harbor. The vessel will be destroyed or sold, and you will remain liable for unpaid costs. If the vessel is sold, the liability imposed under ORS 830.938 shall be reduced by the net proceeds of the sale. These costs incurred will be paid from the Port of Brookings Harbor; however, you, as the owner, remain liable for all salvage, towing, storage, and disposal costs. The total cost of salvage, towing, storage, and disposal is estimated to be $5,000.00 but the final cost could be higher or lower than this estimate.
You may request a hearing to challenge the seizure of the vessel, and the reasonableness of costs associated with salvage, towing, and storage. Your request must be submitted in writing to the Port of Brookings Harbor not more than 10 days after the date of this notice. The deadline to request a hearing is:  4:00pm September 20, 2024.
